The 75th Miss Globe Beauty Pageant was held on July 26, 1999 Monday at Crown Plaza located in Ataköy Marina. The Grand Jury granted the title and crown of Miss Globe 1999 to 16-year-old Jana Tairova, who joined the contest on behalf of Turkmenistan. The new Miss Globe Beauty Queen is 1.83 tall and has the body sizes of 87-62-93. The delegate of Turkmenistan, Miss Tairova, broke into tears when the results were announced.

The Grand Jury granted the title and honor of the First Maid of Honor to the delegate of Czech Republic, Miss Martina Hlavalova, the title and honor of the Second Maid of Honor to Miss Jurgita Tvarıjonaite and the title and honor of the Third Maid of Honor to the delegate of Turkey, Selin Demiratar.

The presenters of the contest were Mr. Cenk Koray and Mrs Suna Yıldızoğlu. Some of the finalists had a difficult time before the contest. Hospitalized due to food poisoning, Estonian, Dutch and Greek beauty queens managed to take place in the contest thanks to the timely and successful intervention of physicians.
