Crown and Title Holder

The 78th Miss Globe Beauty Pageant was held on July 30, 2001 in Istanbul with the participation of 86 countries. In the contest at Lütfi Kırdar Congress Palace, the delegate of USA, Miss Jennifer Schooler, became the new holder of the Miss Globe crown and title. The new Miss Globe Beauty Queen had been the first runner-up in the contest organized in Barstow located on the highway of California- Las Vegas. Then, she came to Turkey for representing USA. Miss Sochoolar is 1.76 tall and has the body sizes of 88-61-89.

In the contest, the title and honor of the First Maid of Honor was granted to the delegate of Kosovo, Miss Dardani Cacaj, the title and honor of the Second Maid of Honor to the delegate of Greece, Miss Nancy Pantapolous, the title and honor of the Third Maid of Honor to the delegate of Colombia, Miss Yudy Rojas, and the title and honor of the Forth Maid of Honor to the delegate of Slovakia, Andrea Jarova. The contest was broadcasted synchronously to all of the countries in the world by Fashion Television Channel.

Representing their countries, the queen candidates appeared before the jury and the audience during the show in blue swimsuits prepared by SUNSET. Yasin Soy was the chorographer of the contest. During the contest, 5 singers separately took the stage and sang their songs. These singers were Mirkelam, Ufuk Yıldırım, Burcu Güneş, Akın, and Zeynep Mansur.

The Grand Jury comprised of members from other countries as well as from the host country, Turkey.

Those persons were respectively: Kemal Tursan from Macedonia, Jeep Malone from California, Raquel/Julio Molinero from Spain, Paul Marcell from Mexico, Odesa Nuiqi from Kosovo, Oksana Chernih from Russia, Bülent Günkut from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, İnta Fogele from Latvia, Sandra Gurdulic from Croatia, Madema Stella Marquez de Areneta from Philippines, Lech Danikowicz and Piotr Chomiak from Poland, Danilo D’Avila from Brazil, Petri Bozo from Albania, Yiannis Armoutidis from Greece, and Maria Doneva from Bulgaria.

After the contest, a white limousine allocated by Inter Limousine Company transported the Queen from Lütfi Kırdar Congress Palace to Hilton Hotel. In the limousine, the Queen was accompanied by the Honorary President of Miss Globe, Mr. Süha Özgermi, and the President of the Organizing Committee, Oktay Karaşoğlu.
