Mr. Doğan Batur
Photographer
He was born on 1950 in Üsküdar district of İstanbul. After completing his primary and secondary education in Üsküdar, he studied G.S.A Ceramic Department and Photography institution between 1973 and 1979.
He worked in Kordsa, a sub company of Sabancı Holding for 10 years. At the same period he became a member of 'IFSAK-İstanbul Photography and Cinema Amateurs Association'. He was selected as the Board of Directors for 1978-1980.
He worked for Hurriyet Newspaper Journal group which is the biggest daily newspaper of Turkey with a circulation of 1 million as a photographer.
Afterwards he became a member of 'FİAP-Federation Internationale De L'Art Photographique' -International Photography Art Federation-. He participated in the translation Project of foreign photography terms into Turkish. He organized the first international photography competition.
He established photography archives for Kordsa, Beksa, Lassa and Akbank which are sub companies of Sabancı Holding which is one of two biggest companies of Turkey between 1983 and 1987.
He joined Promed Advertisement Agency as advertisement photographer between 1987 and1990 and performed photography works of advertisement projects of the customers working with Promed Advertisement Agency for marketing communication.
He also worked under one of the leading companies in Turkey for wall, ground, garden and roof tile, namely Işıklar Holding as Photography Director between 1990-1993 and 1996-1999 for 6 years, later he was retired.
Meanwhile, he was charged for NASCAR (National American Sports Cars) official photographer of race cars in Kocaeli Bay Pit.
In 1998, he was the official photographer for OFFSHORE 'POWER BOAT' open sea power boats race in İstanbul Bosporus. Mr. Batur also took the introduction photographs of newly built international hotels established in Kazakhstan’s Capital City of Bishkek successfully.
He also photographed "Tourism Investment Region" in Soçi successfully with his team and completed hotel and holiday villages’ introduction photographs of tourism sector in Antalya which is in Mediterranean Region of Turkey. In these studies he mostly concentrated on 100 different hotels (between Alanya-Tekirova), carpets, jewels, land and hotels from helicopter, yachts and tourist boats.
In 1994, he accepted the offer of Miss Globe Organization’s president Rasim Aydın. Mr. Doğan Batur has been living in Antalya in the Mediterranean region of Turkey and still working as head photographer of the organization.
